2011 Chrysler 300 – New and Improved!

New Chrysler 300Since making its debut in 2005, the current version of the Chrysler 300 has won praise from critics and the following of fans for its muscular good looks, powerful drive and rear- and all-wheel-drive availability. There is no other American car like it unless you include its sibling Dodge Charger in that mix.

For 2011, the Chrysler 300 is updated, but it does so without losing its original appeal. Call it more of an “evolution” than a “revolution” to describe these changes, an all-new model with a familiar face.

New Engine

Among the changes found in the 2011 model is its all-new 3.6-liter V-6 engine. That engine, which originally made its debut in the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, is slated to show up across 13 model lines by 2013. Lighter, more fuel efficient and more powerful the V-6 engines it will replace, this engine will see a boost in horsepower, torque and fuel economy numbers. Importantly, it is being paired with a six-speed automatic transmission though some have indicated that an eight-speed transmission may show up as early as this model year. New Chrysler Sebring Headed for UK Market

New Chrysler SebringDuring the release of Chrysler Sebring mid size sedan last year, DaimlerChrysler AG’s Chrysler Group division said in a press release that the car is scheduled to arrive in the UK and other European markets in the first half of 2007. Well for those of British car fans out there who have waited long enough for Chrysler Sebring, here is one good news for all of you.

Chrysler Group has recently announced that the new Chrysler Sebring is heading in dealer showrooms across the UK. Only the Chrysler Sebring Limited model will roll out in UK markets carrying a base manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of 17,995 British Pounds or about $35,567 USD.

According to Peter Lambert, Managing Director for Chrysler Group in the United Kingdom: “The Sebring is Chrysler’s first offering in the mid-size family car segment, currently dominated by cars like the Ford Mondeo and Honda Accord. The Sebring combines an eye-catching design with high levels of safety and reliability, great performance and excellent fuel efficiency and is priced around 10 per cent less than the competition.” Read the rest of this entry »
