The New Vauxhall Agila – Is This The Most Fun You Can Have In A Car With Your Clothes On?
Vauxhall, bless ‘em, have really made a major thing about trying to corner the market price for the sub compact car in the last 20 to 30 years.
Now that the Vauxhall Corsa has outgrown its micro status and moved into the heavyweight supermini class there has now appeared a gap within their product range and this is one thing that the new car is set to plug.
The idea says the company is to come in and provide a relatively cheap cheerful city car. Basically what has happened with most car manufacturers is that ever since the petrol crisis of the 70s effectively signed the death warrant for the gas guzzlers every man and his dog have been hell bent on trying to provide the smallest and most economic car possible.

The New Vauxhall Insignia
There is a new Vauxhall Insignia hitting the road in 2010. This vehicle performs well, and it is also a great vehicle for the sector it falls into, even though the sector has decreased in size by half in a dozen years. Even then, there is still a large demand within the sector for those that are willing to continue producing for it. As a result, Vauxhall decided to invest and make major improvements within their vehicle which means a new name, chassis, a change in the drive system, and many other improvements.
The first thing you notice when you see the new Vauxhall Insignia is the styling on it. You can get both a saloon and a hatchback version, but both look very similar. The interior of this vehicle has changed even more than the exterior. Within the wraparound architecture, which includes trim grain, instrument graphics as well as the fine switchgear detail, there is some room for this vehicle to improve. While sitting in the vehicle, there is a warm and comfortable feel to it that beats out some of the vehicles that have a bit better design to them.
When driving this Vauxhall Insignia, it feels more sophisticated than other four cylinder Vauxhalls you may have driven. The gearbox quality is far ahead of other vehicles out there, and the lever, trim and gate surround are all gorgeous features within the cockpit. You are able to adjust the steering effort and throttle sensitivity by choosing a different regime with the suspension. The Sport setting is not as hard as it could have been, and due to the firmer steering and the brisker throttle, this may be an ideal setting for most of your driving. Read the rest of this entry »
