The Electrifying New Volkswagen Golf R32

Volkswagen Golf R32In car bore circles we delight in debating whether the Dino really was a Ferrari, or the whether a supercharger really is better than a turbocharger. Things can sometimes get heated, are never settled and are really quite nerdy when you think back about your evening. Fortunately the most recent ‘chat’ I had involved the Volkswagen Golf GTi and amazingly we all agreed. The first two derivatives were amazing, the next two were dire and now Volkswagen is back on form with their fifth. What seemed strange to us though was that there was no discernible drop in sales numbers between each model, despite the very public media lashing the sub-par versions got.

The only plausible answer must be something that I’d thought died out years ago – brand loyalty. When my granddad is telling me war stories I have perfected the interested look, whilst my brain does everything but listen to him. However some droplets of information seep through including the quaint fact that shopkeepers used to know what you’d be buying dependent on the day of the week it was. Now once you’ve built a rapport to that extent it doesn’t matter whether the apples become rotten or the milk has gone sour, you are loyal to that shopkeeper to the very end. New Volkswagen Golf Review

The Volkswagen Golf, a public icon for the past 30 years. With the heritage from the Mk1 GTi directly traceable from the current model even after all these years, the Golf is the car for all drivers.

New Volkswagen Golf ReviewThe new Volkswagen Golf, or Mk5 as it is known had a lot to live up to. Every incarnation of the popular little hatch has been a fantastic car that has just kept getting better and better. The new Golf though shouldn’t disappoint.

Externally the new Golf is bigger than its predecessor, which you wouldn’t notice unless they were side by side, but it does lend the car a slightly more aggressive stance. It also goes without saying that the larger size has been put to good use by increasing interior space.

Internally the new Golf has carried forwards the tradition of being very well put together. The whole car feels like a quality machine to sit in, and with some luxury saloon options available, its easy to forget your in a small hatchback. There is ample room to seat 3 children or 2 adults in the back. The boot is an ample size too. Read the rest of this entry »
