New Season For The Land Rover G4 Challenge

After the success of the G4 challenge in 2003, Land Rover and United Kingdom’s network television Channel 4 takes the Land Rover G4 Challenge back to the road again. Channel 4 will broadcast the events of the 30-minute episode of the 2006 Land Rover G4 Challenge starting this Saturday. As expected, the Land Rover G4 Challenge will be an adventurous and extremely on- and off-track competition which features challenges on various terrains and exhilarating locations. As for Land Rover, they will allow the participants to use their vehicles and other Rover universal parts.
Channel 4 will show the challenges encountered by the 18 participants during the extreme competition. For 28 days, the participants will face different challenges that include driving a 4WD Land Rover, kayaking, running, climbing different altitudes, exploring different cultures, and uncovering hidden gems. The 18 participants will represent their respective nations in the 2006 Land Rover G4 Challenge namely Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile & Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey and United Kingdom. New Land Rover Freelander Review

The Freelander is the 4×4 for those who want to have a 4×4, but without the associated problems. It’s massively capable off road, easy to park, reasonably economical and drivable around town. Plus in the Freelander, you can still be a friend of the Earth.
The previous Freelander was the best selling 4×4 in the UK because it ticked so many of the boxes. It did have some issues though, like poor handling, a lack of space, and some reliability issues. Land Rover have now really got their act together and built a car worthy of sitting in the same stable as the Defender, Discovery and Range Rover. The new Freelander is now the car it always wanted to be.
There is plenty of space inside for both passengers and luggage. The interior trim is of a high quality and the whole cabin looks like it belongs in one of the more expensive Discovery or Range. Equipment levels are excellent with even entry level models benefiting from alloy wheels, air-conditioning and a CD player. Read the rest of this entry »
